The Youthful Fire Setter Intervention Program is an educational based program designed
to educate children and their families about fire setting. The program
has two primary category areas to refer youth to: younger youth up to
7 years old, and older youth from 8 to 12 years old. The program for younger
youth focuses primarily on fire safety behaviors, while the program for
the older youth is mainly about the consequences of fire setting.
The Youthful Fire Setter Program for youth up to age 7 is a series
of one meeting a week from 5:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. over an eight(8) week
period. This program requires individual and group participation as well
as weekly out of class assignments.
The Youthful Fire Setter Program for youth ages 8 to 12 years old
is a series of one meeting a week from 5:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. over a three(3)
week period. This program requires individual and group participation
as well as weekly out of class assignments.

program is held at the Clayton County Fire Department Headquarters located
