Plan Review Application (pdf)

Plan and Fees may be submitted to:

Clayton County Fire Marshal’s Office
~ 7810 Hwy 85 Riverdale, GA 30274
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, excluding the hour 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM

• Two sets of plans are required for review
• There is a three to five day turn around
• Contact person noted on application will be called when plans are ready for pick up and fees will be paid at time of pick up.
• Companies will be responsible for submitting plans to building department for permit once approved by the Fire Department

Submittal of New Construction Plans

Full Set Submittal (Shell Building)

• Requires two stamped sets
• The review fee is $.15 times the square feet

Sprinkler Plans Submittal

• Must be submitted by a state licensed sprinkler company
• Flat review fee of $25.00

Alarm Plans Submittal

• Must be submitted by a state licensed alarm company
• Flat review fee of $25.00

Tenant Finish Submittal

• Requires two stamped sets
• The review fee is $.15 times the square feet

Inspection Requests

• Call the inspection request line to request the inspection: 770-603-4040
• Leave your Fire Marshal’s Permit Number if available
• Leave a contact name and phone number
• Specify the type of inspection needed
• Fire Marshal’s permit must be on site at all times or no inspection will be conducted

Certificate of Occupancy Inspections (excludes Certificate of Completion for Shell)

• Required for business license
• Fee of $100.00 – payable at time of inspection
• Must be completed before moving in any furniture or merchandise
• All trades must be approved prior to final inspection by the Fire Marshal
• Permanent power must be established prior to final inspection
