Child Daycare Professional Fire Safety Course

BabyThe Georgia Insurance & Safety Fire Commissioner's Office, State Fire Marshals Office Division, requires that all child daycare professional employees receive an initial five (5) hours of fire safety training and thereafter receiving two (2) hours of re-certification training every 3 years. The course and the instructor must be certified through the State Fire Marshals Office. The Clayton County Fire Department performs routine inspections at all child daycare centers in unincorporated Clayton County, and will begin enforcing this requirement of training in 2003. Additionally, Clayton County Fire Department provides the training at a minimal cost once a quarter to child daycare centers to assist in the economic strain that this mandate may impose.

To schedule training or an inspection for your facility, please contact the Fire Marshals Office at (770) 473-7833.
